Course Content;

·Definition of a confined space (HSE, C&G, Water UK NC1-NC4 classifications)
·Specified risks
·Legislation and Regulations
·Risk Assessment, Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work
·Atmospheric hazards and principles of gas detectors
·Duties under the regulations. Roles and responsibilities of key personnel
·Confined Space equipment including records and inspection requirements

***If supervising teams in low or medium risk confined spaces, learners must also hold the Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces Qualification (6160-02)***
***If supervising teams in high risk confined spaces, learners must also hold the Working in High Risk Confined Spaces Qualification (6160-03)***
